Sony Music Records, formerly Sony Records (1991–2001), is one of Sony Music Japan's label groups. In 2025, it is running 7 primary labels:

Legally, the corporate entity Sony Music Records Inc. (2001–2014) changed its name to Sony Music Labels Inc. in 2014. This differs from what happened to the other 7 label groups of Sony Music Japan at the time (they were absorbed by SML rather than being renamed to SML). This MB Label represents the same label group that existed both before and after 2014.
